Now when you combine Lorde's creatively simplistic melody with Mayor Hawthorne's jazz style, you have an interesting mix!

New Zealander Ella Yelich-O'Connor, or Lorde, is one of those artists who produces such amazing music that each song seems like pure gold. I'm a fan of many artists, bands, singers, songwriters, etc., but I tend to like only a handful of songs (if that) from each of their albums. When I first listened to Lorde, I was expecting to only like maybe one or two songs since the standard track listing for her debut EP, The Love Club, consisted of only five songs. This was not the case.
Now when you combine Lorde's creatively simplistic melody with Mayor Hawthorne's jazz style, you have an interesting mix!
