loving life with the dragons

Imagine Dragons released their debut studio album, Night Visions, September of last year so I've had a whole year to pick and choose my favourites. Their hit singles, It's Time, Radioactive, and Demons, are all great, but my favourite track off the album is Nothing Left To Say with the inclusion of the hidden song, Rocks.

Sometimes hidden tracks are great: it's like the excitement of finding out you had the foresight to hide yourself the last bag of m&m's (after devouring the first two while madly studying for that final you knew was coming, but just couldn't bring yourself to sit down and review) just so you could surprise yourself later on when you find then in that secret spot. It just reinforces the fact that you not only love life, but you're impressed with yourself for being so awesome, and ignore the fact that you forgot you hid it in the first place. In this case, you're listening to a great song and when it finishes: bonus! It's not over yet.

Other times, hidden tracks are like those long and boring bus rides where all you're thinking of is how much of the great party you're missing out on. You're trying to make it through that one song, just so you can listen to the hidden track and you're too lazy to fast forward the song just in case you miss the great beginning of that hidden bonus.

I hope that you agree with me and that Nothing Left To Say/Rocks, brings you as much joy as m&m's does for me!
