An earworm: an insanely catchy tune or piece of music that penetrates the 'I-absolutely-love-that-song' centre of your brain, and does everything to not escape it. It's that song that's on repeat in your head, all day following you on the subway to work, while you're writing your math exam, and even while you take a trip to the bathroom.
