you're a good man, charlie brown
Need some hip hop for your chill day? Check out the Charlie Brown remix by Jared Evan featuring Wax, Tayyib Ali, and Emilio Rojas. Any song's a keeper when they take a soundbite of Mr. Charlie Brown himself, for its opening. And you can't help but smile at Charlie's it's-the-end-of-the-word take on life.
me gusta bailar
Every once in awhile I'll be in a mood to dance to reggaeton. It doesn't happen often, but obviously you need the right music to do so. Here's my top five of the catchiest, you-can't-help-but-dance-when-you-hear-them reggaeton songs that I like listening to.
1. Hasta Que Salga El Sol
2. No Te Veo
3. Limbo
4. What's My Name (Reggaeton Remix)
And of course,
5. Danza Kuduro Remix

madyon
Acoustic cover band, Madyon, has some great chill songs perfect for studying. What am I'm loving from them right now is their cover of OneRepublic's Something I Need. If you didn't know already, OneRepublic's album, Native, is just amazing.
koko laroo
Here's another acoustic version of a house song featuring KOKO LAROO. Check out her SoundCloud page for Mariah Carey x Cher Lloyd x Lady Gaga pop-like songs.
Here's Felix Cartal's original to compare.
And for all you Vancouverites out there, you can't help but love the fact that Felix Cartal's from Vancouver.

ponies everywhere
Here's some disco funky music by TheGoldenPony to get you in the mood for a Monday. It's got a great bass aand that's all the convincing you should need to take a listen.

Let's end this weekend with a bang. An acoustic bang (?). Here's Housejunkee's edit of Calvin Harris' Feel So Close.

chasing time with vicetone
Vicetone always comes out with the best banging house music to get you pumped up to go out. Whether you're planning on hitting the clubs, or grabbing a few drinks with a couple of friends, any of Vicetone's stuff never fails to help you get out of that lazy 'mode' you've been in for the whole day, to get enough energy and get out of the house. My recommendation for this evening's shenanigans is Chasing Time featuring Daniel Gidlund. When it comes to house music, I have very little patience for what can sometimes be long intros which is why I almost always choose the radio edits.
Here's a few other Vicetone recommendations for you:
1. Hope (which considering the US and its quick fix to the shutdown, may currently be very appropriate)
2. Clarity (Vicetone's remix is almost as good as Zedd's original)
3. Bulletproof (I was never a fan of the original, but you can't help but like this version)
4. Tremble Flashback (this Raiknok mashup of Vicetone's Tremble and Calvin Harris' Flashback is pretty awesome)
